Creating a Quality Client Service

31.01.2012

When a client hires a professional company to design and develop their website, they expect to see results given within a strategic timeline and budget. They expect that the work is delivered on time, and is of exceptional quality.

While this in itself is a success, in this instance the client has received nothing more than the bare minimum. You may have done your job, yet does the client feel as though he has been given everything that he asked for? Probably not.

Clients always expect more, and it is our job as website designers and developers to provide it to them. Building a website is more than just design, coding and content, it is about capturing the branding and identity of a business, offering them solutions to marketing and providing a true return on their investments. Simply “getting the job done” will not make you stand out from the crowd.

Here at Zheta International, we pride ourselves on our client relations. In the initial stages of any project, before we have even met the client for a consultation, thorough research is conducted into the client’s business market. We research and analyse competitors’ websites, and carefully invest our time in setting up specific strategies and goals in preparation for our first meeting with the client.

With our expertise at hand, we can then meet with the client and discuss a wide range of possibilities, from the design, layout and scale of the project, to budget and time involved. We guide our clients into making the best decisions about what identity will work best for their business, whether it is a corporation, interior designer, travel company, artist, furniture supplier, property developer or events organiser. Allowing our clients to provide their own feedback and thoughts, as well as allowing them to follow the design process step by step, gives them a stronger sense of trust, and gives them a more ‘hands on’ role in the design and development of their website.

Apart from providing our clients with regular updates, we also encourage the implementation of SEM and SEO, as without these features an advanced website will sit unnoticed by Google’s search engine spiders, and will fail to generate the required revenue. We ask real questions, and are given real answers. We discuss marketing strategies and objectives, whilst always creating a real relationship with the client.

Constant feedback too allows us to efficiently and quickly fix any problems or amendments, whilst the speed of the project remains as it is. Not only do we guide our clients through every step of the website building process, we also provide hands on training to every individual, so that our clients can continue to work closely on their website, learning how to update its content, and more importantly, how to market the website once it is live (such as how to use keyword optimisation and Google Analytics).

Meeting deadlines is perhaps one of the most fundamental features of a successful website company. Meeting deadlines means professionalism, and the ability to work within restrictions. For this to happen there must be strong internal communication between employees. Working so closely together, the Developers, Designers and Content Writers are like links within a chain: if one falls behind on his work, the others will inevitably follow. Communication at all stages of a project provides consistency: if everyone knows who they are working for and how the website should function, then time does not need to be spent asking questions.

Our aim is always to push your business to the edge of what interactive media can do. Through our aims we must provide our clients with constant guidance, even long after a website project has left the studio. Regular updates on website traffic statistics, training sessions and maximising marketing potential continue the impeccable client service long into the future. Satisfied clients will pass on their positive feedback to fellows, and leads will grow into the next successful website project.
